Metodologia nauczania percepcji i proksemiki przestrzeni na uczelni architektonicznej ZUT Szczecin. Blok no 1: „droga dojścia”.

Abstract

In the following paper seminar block No 1 of spatial perception and proxemics learning methodology used in the Architecture Faculty of ZUT University in Szczecin has been described. The seminar is called Walking Route for the route from faculty to home passing by urban and architectural structures which are the main source of emotional study. The paper points out nowadays significance of perception and proxemics education of young architects as well as threats that lack of proxemics knowledge provides. Main professional targets of the seminar have been revealed as well as the methodology and the main course of the seminar. It is based on Karl Raimond Popper’s Third World epistemology concept developed in tripartite adults educational model divided into three steps according to human, technological & critical models. The paper describes in details each step using some students’ graphics resulted from the seminar process in order to illustrate its methodology. Particularly, the so called Emotion Curve method of Kazimierz Wejchert is presented as a simplified mathematical visualization of emotional distribution of Walking Route of urban and architectural structures passed by. In conclusions some improvements to the methodology have been proposed.
